Safety Measures

We know your first concern is safety, and it’s our first concern, too. We’re prepared to safely enter any home, ensuring that your health and our workers’ health are protected. As a home remodeling contractor, we closely monitor and comply with CDC (Center for Disease Control) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines.  On every job site, you’ll see us

  • following safe distancing practices
  • wearing protective masks, gloves, and booties
  • closing off construction areas to create a controlled and safe work zone

Disruptions

On a more personal note, your life was disrupted by COVID-19, and ours was too. In fact, when COVID-19 hit, it couldn’t have come at a worse time.

This past year we planned a complete rebrand, including the beautiful website you’re visiting now. We spent countless hours and money working with a (terrific!) marketing company to get ready for our big launch of the website and social media presence. We just knew it would bring us many new home remodeling jobs and start a whole new chapter for our company.

When was that big launch? It was planned for April 1st. You can imagine how devastated we were when the rug was pulled out from under us at the end of March. Suddenly, the construction industry was taking a nosedive. Clients were calling off home renovations. It was NOT the time for a hard launch.

The Silver Lining

We’re very, very grateful that we’ve had work throughout the quarantine. We’ve been able to employ our sub-contractors, and we don’t take that for granted. Still, it’s nothing like the busy, growth-filled Spring we envisioned.

But now that we’ve had time to think, we realize we were rushing into a big step before we were ready. Yes, we would have gotten new clients, but were we truly prepared to serve them all with our signature Touchstone gold standard service? If we’re honest with ourselves, the answer was no.

COVID-19 gave us a gift of time that we didn’t even know we needed. We’ve introspected, thinking about where we’ve been and where we’re going. We were forced off the endless merry-go-round of non-stop work, and now we’re more thoughtful and intentional about how we’re going forward to best serve you, our clients.

The Gift of COVID-19
